Pop-Ups

Event Planning
2023–2024

Untangle pop-ups are intimate, community-centered activations that bring the collective’s mission beyond the printed page and into everyday spaces. These events feature the sale of Asian-inspired drinks and baked goods, student-produced art and zines, and handmade goods that reflect our contributors’ diverse practices. Highlights often include $1 portraits and poetry, inviting visitors to exchange stories and creativity in real time. Whether through interactive displays, casual conversation, or spontaneous art-making, each pop-up creates space for connection, cultural storytelling, and mutual support. These gatherings are not only a way to raise funds for our publication, they’re a celebration of AAPI creativity and a way to expand Untangle’s presence within the broader community
